Calligraphy

Calligraphy is something that really attracts me... what is nicer than a page written in neat harmonious style, and if the content is interesting the attention to the form makes it a more precoius present.

I've found, looking aroun on the internet, some resources for starting practicing calligraphy:

Iampeth

IAMPETH is an international, non-profit association dedicated to practicing and preserving the beautiful arts of calligraphy, engrossing and fine penmanship. There are books, examples and video lessons completely free. For everyone that is interested in improving his handwriting or calligraphy skills it works magic!

This is an example of calligraphy from the Iampeth site:

Another nice site in italian is Fontainpen, in particular it's interesting this section with old calligraphy books -
Libreria_Condivisa .

This is an example of what  you would find there:

Then, let me show you an example of the so called spencerian ladies hand:

At the moment I'm just exercising, with ink and nib and a notebook.
The strange thing is that, even if I have the professional nibs, the one I use most and I prefer for writing is the little simple one of the Conte.
